Toby Flood: Leicester Tigers hope to keep England fly-half

Leicester Tigers and England fly-half Toby Flood is expected to make a decision on his club future in the new year, reports BBC Radio Leicester.

Tigers are in talks with the 28-year-old, but he is out of contract in the summer and has been linked with a move to French side Toulon.

Chief executive Simon Cohen told BBC Radio Leicester: "He is our captain, our playmaker and a leader.

"He is a great bloke and we are very keen to keep him."

Cohen added: "We have had lots of conversations with Toby. Toby wants to weigh up lots of things, lifestyle, where he's at with England - all sorts of things.

"He will weigh up all those and has said he will come back to us within a timescale that will enable us to plan, and him to plan if necessary."

Flood joined the Premiership champions from Newcastle Falcons in June 2008,, external and has gone on to make 70 appearances for the Welford Road side.
