Worcester Warriors: Andy Symons and Euan Murray suffer injuries

Worcester's nightmare season has been further disrupted by a new injury blow to young centre Andy Symons.

The autumn signing broke a collar bone in Saturday's 26-8 home defeat by Saracens, his first Premiership start.

Boss Dean Ryan has also revealed that Scotland prop Euan Murray has been kept out with a knee injury since returning from autumn international duty.

Murray has now started just five of winless Worcester's 11 Premiership matches this season.

The loss of Symons, on top of the continued absence of Murray, comes in the wake of injuries to hooker Gus Creevy and scrum-half Jonny Arr.

Argentina international Creevy played just two games after his delayed arrival in late October, only to then be ruled out for two months with a knee injury.

Arr is currently out with the second of two separate hamstring injuries this season.

Worcester, who have lost their first 11 league matches of the season to sit firmly bottom of the table, will play their first Premiership game of 2014 against London Irish at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.

By then, they will have gone more than two years without a league away win.

Their last was a 6-0 win against Wasps at Adams Park on New Year's Day 2012.

Meanwhile, Warriors have allowed young lock forward Harry Casson to join Leeds for the rest of the season.

Casson, 22, follows in the footsteps of centre Jon Clarke, who made the same move to Headingley last week.
