London Irish have signed Ireland and British & Irish Lions prop Tom Court from Ulster for the 2014-15 season.

Court has signed a three-year deal with the Exiles having made 143 appearances for Ulster, scoring 10 tries.

The 33-year-old gained the first of his 32 Ireland caps in the 2009 Six Nations Championships, when he was part of the Grand Slam-winning side.

"Tom is a terrific signing for the club as we look to add steel to the pack," said director of rugby Brian Smith.

Court added: "I have enjoyed eight fantastic seasons at Ulster and will leave the club with many happy memories.

"London Irish is a new challenge and one I am looking forward to. There is still a lot of work to do for the remainder of this season at Ulster and that will be my immediate focus."
