Ireland's Ciaran Gaffney celebrates his try in the Pool B match against Fiji

Ireland Under-20 side will play defending champions England in the semi-finals of the Junior World Cup after beating Fiji 38-0 in Auckland.

The Irish qualify as the winners of Pool B after France lost to Wales 13-3.

Ireland were 17-0 up at half-time against Fiji thanks to two penalty tries and seven points from the boot of UCD centre Garry Ringrose.

In the second half, Ciaran Gaffney and Conor McKeon touched down either side of a third penalty try.

It is the first time Ireland have qualified for the semi-finals of the competition.

They will take on England on Sunday, again at the QBE Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand, with kick-off at 06:05 BST.
