Worcester Warriors hooker Agustin Creevy has been named captain of Argentina's national team.
The 29-year-old is set to lead the Pumas in their forthcoming Rugby Championship matches against Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
"This is an immense joy. I did not expect this as there are many other players with important qualities," said Creevy, who has 28 caps.
"I receive it with great honour and I hope to keep guiding our players."
Creevy joined Warriors from Montpellier in the summer of 2013 and marked his debut for the Sixways club with a try against Sale in the Amlin Cup in October.
He scored his first Premiership try against Exeter in April amid a wretched season for the Warriors that saw them relegated back to the Championship.
Worcester will start life back in the second tier with a trip to Bristol on a date to be confirmed between Friday 5 and Sunday 7 September.
