Worcester were relegated from the top flight last season

Worcester Warriors director of rugby Dean Ryan was "disappointed" with his side's second-half display on Saturday despite beating Plymouth Albion 22-10.

The Warriors, who have now won nine games in a row, had led 17-0 at half-time.

Ryan told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "I thought we did everything right in the first-half. We were quite clinical.

"I'm disappointed that we lost momentum in the second-half. I think we could have made it easier for ourselves."

Tries by flanker Sam Betty, winger Tom Biggs and a brace from GJ Van Velze were enough to secure victory for the visitors.

"I think GJ is getting better and better," added Ryan. "I'm really pleased with the way he is heading.

"In the second half we allowed them in. We were trying to be positive but losing our cohesiveness as a team.

"In this sort of weather and on that sort of pitch, you just can't afford to do that.

"Sometimes you've got to accept that rugby is not easy to play, so our game management needs to be more clinical."
