Glasgow Warriors expect Tyrone Holmes to be out of action for the next few months after injuring his right knee during last weekend's win over Ospreys.

A scan has confirmed that the South African flanker, 28, sustained a medial collateral ligament injury.

He has begun his rehabilitation.

Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: "It's a blow to lose Tyrone, but we wish him all the best with his recovery and we hope he'll still be able to play his part this season."
