Leigh Halfpenny has won 60 caps for Wales, scoring 482 points

Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny, scrum-half Mike Phillips and wing Alex Cuthbert missed training on Tuesday after suffering minor knocks.

Wales' squad played a practice game in front of around 5,000 people at Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay.

Wing George North played in the match having been out for almost five months because of concussion.

North is set to return for Wales' second World Cup warm-up game against Ireland in Dublin on 29 August.

Wales forward coach Robin McBryde played down the significance of Halfpenny, Phillips and Cuthbert's absence from Wales' second training session on Tuesday.

"We had a tough session this morning and they are just feeling the effects of a couple of bumps," he said.

"We didn't feel it was worth risking them this afternoon."

North's return was welcomed by McBryde, who said: "Someone of George's ability is going to be an addition to any squad in world rugby.

"To have him back fit has given everyone a big boost."
