Swansea celebrate their return to the Premiership

Former Welsh champions Swansea and big-spending Merthyr have secured promotion to Principality Welsh Premiership.

Fly-half Jac Wilson's last-minute drop-goal sealed a dramatic 39-38 win for Swansea over RGC 1404 at St Helen's.

The famous All Whites will be joined by Championship leaders Merthyr, led by former Wales back-rower Andy Powell, as they thumped Newcastle Emlyn 78-17.

The two sides are locked on 98 points in the battle to win the division.

Swansea were relegated on the last day of the 2013/14 season but are four-time Premiership winners.

Merthyr won Division One, East, in the same season and strengthened their squad significantly over the summer.
