Warren Gatland said England did not put Wales under any pressure during their Six Nations match

Wales coach Warren Gatland says his side must build on their victory over England and create something special.

Wales won a record 12th successive match with a 21-13 victory over England in the Six Nations on Saturday to remain on course for a Grand Slam.

"The biggest challenge for us now is to not be happy with beating England and accepting where we are at the moment," said Gatland.

They are two wins from a Grand Slam in Gatland's final Six Nations in charge.

"The last year has been pretty good," said Gatland, who will step down after the World Cup in Japan later this year.

"To win 12 out of 12 and for the boys to create that record is something they thoroughly deserve and a special day for our players.

"It would be pretty special if we could win the Championship in my final year with Wales and sign off like that."

Wales face Scotland at Murrayfield on 9 March with Gatland having never lost to Scotland since he took over as Wales coach in 2008.

Rob Howley was in charge in 2017 when Wales lost at Murrayfield and Gatland was away with the British and Irish Lions.

Scotland have lost to Ireland and France after defeating Italy in their opening match.

"It's a dangerous place to go," said Gatland.

"They, like us, have been building on their depth, but they do have a few injuries at the moment.

"They've been creating a bit of a fortress at Murrayfield and they've been tough to beat there."

After England coach Eddie Jones said he wanted his side to come to Cardiff and spoil Wales party, Gatland is hoping the performance at the Principality Stadium is a marker in World Cup year.

"It sets us up nicely," said Gatland.

"We're now the only unbeaten team in the Championship and it sets us up for a potential Grand Slam, Triple Crown, and maybe winning the Six Nations.

"We haven't got bonus points, so that is hampering us a little bit and making it a little bit of a challenge.

"The second half [against England] was as good as it gets and a lot of people out there might sit up and take a little bit of notice of that.

"I didn't know about Eddie said they were coming down to spoil our party. Well, maybe we've spoilt theirs. We expected to win but for a lot of people out there this would have been an upset.

"We want to build on this display."
