Dragons director of rugby Dean Ryan has appointed Simon Cross and Luke Narraway to his coaching team on a permanent basis.

The pair have previously worked with the region as consultants.

Former England back-rower Narraway will take charge of the forwards while Cross becomes the defence coach.

"Both Simon and Luke are talented coaches who made big impressions when they worked with the squad this season," said Ryan.

The Dragons boss added: "They've now joined us on a full-time basis as we continue to invest in our coaching environment to get the very best out of our playing squad."

The appointments are the latest additions to the coaching staff with former Wales hooker Mefin Davies also joining the region next season, while Dan Baugh has been appointed in a strength and conditioning role.

Dragons have yet to confirm the long-term future of current forwards coach Ceri Jones, while Barry Maddocks is the region's backs coach.
