Gloucester have signed prop Harry Elrington and scrum-half Ben Meehan following their departures from fellow Premiership club London Irish.

Loose-head Elrington, 27, played five times in the league for the Exiles last season, starting two games.

Meehan, 28, scored five tries in 43 Premiership appearances before leaving the club in April for personal reasons.

A former Australia Under-20 international, he previously had a stint with Melbourne Rebels.

"Harry is a big prop who will add real physicality to our front row," Cherry and Whites head coach George Skivington told the club website., external

"He's a powerful scrummager who is coming into his prime so we're really looking forward to see him push on.

"Ben is an experienced and exciting scrum-half who will bring a lot of energy to the squad.

"Having worked with him during my time at Irish, I know his quality."

Gloucester have not disclosed the length of the pair's contracts at Kingsholm.
