Harlequins back Oscar Beard and flanker Will Evans have agreed "long-term" contract extensions with the Premiership champions.

Beard, 20, and 24-year-old Evans follow team-mates Alex Dombrandt, Luke Northmore, Sam Riley and Will Edwards in agreeing new deals at The Stoop.

Beard made his debut at centre against Sale last April and has made six further appearances this season.

Ex-Leicester forward Evans has played 37 times and scored three tries.

Evans missed out on the Premiership final victory over Exeter in June after fracturing his tibia and is yet to play this season.

"I've really enjoyed watching the lads throw it around and do exactly what we did last year. Hopefully we'll be back in the hunt for more silverware come May," Evans told the club website.

"I've been in the stands for every home game at The Stoop to far this season and it's been absolutely packed out. The noise has been incredible."

Beard's performances so far this season have included two tries against London Irish in the Premiership in November and a European Champions Cup debut against Castres in December.

"I've loved all of the opportunities I've had here so far," Beard said.

"For me at the moment, I just want to play as many games as possible and keep performing well. I love winning and I want to do that with Quins and play in big games."
