Former Wales head coach Mike Ruddock has been appointed as a non-executive director at Ospreys.

Ruddock has been Ospreys development director since July 2020, having previously been performance director.

The 64-year-old started his coaching career with Swansea and has also coached Leinster, Ebbw Vale, Dragons, Worcester Warriors and Ireland U20s.

"I am looking forward to the challenge and I am committed to helping the club reach its full potential," he said.

"A primary objective for us is to maintain a competitive, elite performance environment that attracts talent, promotes development from within, and respects the values and traditions of the Ospreys."

Ruddock was Wales head coach between 2004 and 2006, leading them to the Grand Slam in the 2005 Six Nations.
