Ken Owens: Scarlets coach predicts Wales hooker will return to action

Hooker Ken Owens has played 277 games for Scarlets
Scarlets head coach Dwayne Peel says he expects Ken Owens will return to action, although not in the short-term.
Owens, 36, missed the World Cup in France because of a back injury and is still attempting a comeback for his region having not featured for Scarlets so far this season.
"It is a slow work in progress for him," said Peel.
"I am sure we will see him back on the field. It won't be in the short-term but I know he is working hard."
Owens battled back from another back injury to captain Wales during the 2023 Six Nations and the British and Irish Lions hooker insisted he was not retiring from international rugby.
He is Wales' most capped hooker with 91 appearances and will be 37 next month.
"Ken, being Ken, his mindset is 100% to get back on the field," said Peel.
"We will wait on that one and wait on him to get back to some full training."
