Oli Jager is back in the Munster team for the Investec Champions Cup Pool 3 game against a Northampton side who bring in Juarno Augustus.
Jager comes in as tight-head prop for Munster in Limerick while Augustus will line up in the Saints back row.
Northampton, top of the pool, are the first side in this year's Champions Cup to seal a home tie in the last 16.
Third-placed Munster can join them with at least a losing bonus point in Saturday's game.
Jager returns after completing the return to play protocols and will make his first Champions Cup start and his fifth appearance for Munster.
Peter O'Mahony, who was this week named Ireland captain for the Six Nations, retains his spot in the back row for the Irish province.
Munster have eight points from their three matches and come into the game with confidence after beating Toulon in France last weekend.
Northampton have won all three pool fixtures and sit a point above fellow English side Exeter.
However, the Saints have a poor record in Limerick and have failed to chalk up a victory in four visits to Thomond Park.
