Ospreys have signed three players from South African side Cheetahs on short-term loans.

Cheetahs captain and lock Victor Sekekete, centre Evardi Boshoff and back row Jeandre Rudolph are joining as part of the teams' "partnership".

They could face Ulster in the United Rugby Championship (URC) on Sunday, 18 February in Swansea (15:00 GMT).

Ospreys previously hosted Cheetahs wing Daniel Kasende, hooker Marnus van der Merwe and scrum-half Rewan Kruger.

Head coach Toby Booth said Ospreys were "thrilled to further our partnership" with Cheetahs.

Booth added: "The first batch of players who joined us last year certainly added value to the squad, and the partnership has proved successful for both clubs.

"Between the well documented difficulties in Welsh rugby, including squad size and budget constraints, and a seemingly never-ending injury list, we need to innovate and look for ways to remain competitive, and this is one of those ways."

Cheetahs chief executive Ross van Reenen said: "We are thrilled to provide our players with the unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience that will undoubtedly contribute to their personal and professional evolution."
