Joy Neville: Irish referee to officiate last game in Women's Six Nations

Neville oversaw five pool matches at the men's World Cup as a television match official last year

Irish referee Joy Neville will take charge of her last game before international retirement in this year's Women's Six Nations.

Neville became the first woman to officiate at a men's Rugby World Cup when she was selected as a television match official last year.

The 40-year-old announced her decision to retire in January.

The Limerick native will referee her final game on 14 April when France face Italy in Paris.

Neville, who refereed the 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup final, will take up a new role as referee development manager in Connacht after she retires.

Scotland's Hollie Davidson, who became the first on-field female member of an officiating team in a men's Six Nations match during England's win over Wales at Twickenham on Saturday, will referee two games in the Women's Six Nations.

England's Sara Cox will be in charge of the tournament opener between France and Ireland in Le Mans on 23 March.
