Full-back Max Nagy has pledged his future to Ospreys by signing a new contract.

Nagy, who came through the Ospreys pathway via Swansea University, has become the region's first choice in his position.

The 24-year-old is currently out with a dislocated ankle suffered in December.

"I'm excited about what the future holds for us as a team and I'm looking forward to contributing to our goals as a club," Nagy said.

"It's an incredibly proud moment for me and my family. The Ospreys and Swansea University have been a huge part of my life. It's where I've developed as a player."

The length of Nagy's new contract has not been specified.

Ospreys head coach Toby Booth said Nagy's "athleticism and skill set" make him an "invaluable member" of his squad.

"He's got a very bright future ahead of him and we're all excited to see how much further he can take his game.

"With Max committing his future to the club, we continue to strengthen our core of young talent, which is essential for the long-term success of the Ospreys."

Ospreys have been exploring whether Nagy, who was born in Buckinghamshire, could be eligible to play for Wales on residency grounds.
