Former Wales rugby league star Regan Grace is set to make his Bath debut in a friendly against Gloucester at The Rec on Saturday, 9 March after recovering from a long-term injury.

Grace, 27, ruptured his Achilles playing for St Helens against Salford in August 2022 before returning to rugby union and joining Racing 92.

But he suffered a relapse in February 2023 and never played for Racing.

The wing signed a short-term contract, external with the Premiership club in February.

Grace played six seasons at St Helens, scoring 88 tries in 141 appearances, during which time he won three Super League Grand Final rings and a Challenge Cup winners' medal.

Gloucester include Dragons scrum-half Lewis Jones on loan while former Wales Sevens flyer Iwan Pyrs-Jones and another Welshman, Iwan Price-Thomas, are on the visitors' bench., external
