Leicester sign centre Wand from Coventry

Leicester Tigers have signed Will Wand after the centre left Championship side Coventry earlier in the summer.

The 22-year-old, who Tigers welcomed as a "lifelong fan" with previous links to the Premiership club's development teams, featured 42 times for Coventry in his two seasons with the second-tier club.

Wand was voted Coventry's player of the year and was selected in the Championship's team of the season for the 2023-24 campaign, having scored 14 tries in 22 appearances.

“This is an incredible opportunity to join Leicester Tigers, my boyhood club," Wand told the club website.

"I can’t wait to continue learning and working hard and I’m excited to be part of the group.”
