Wales full-back Liam Williams is training with former club Cardiff as he bids to prove his fitness and prolong his career.

Williams, 34, left Saracens at the end of the 2024-25 campaign and has not played since suffering a knee injury in Wales' defeat by France in their opening Six Nations defeat in January.

The British and Irish Lion, who spent the 2022-23 season with Cardiff, has returned to the Arms Park on a temporary basis to take part in the first team squad's pre-season training.

Williams is currently without a club and is looking for his next move after spending time with Kubota Spears and Saracens.

There is no indication currently he will be returning to the Arms Park. Cardiff say Williams is there to "regain match fitness and pass on his vast experience to Cardiff's back three".

Williams has played 93 internationals for Wales and five Tests for the British and Irish Lions.
