Exeter have signed former Wasps lock Nora Baltruweit for the upcoming Premiership Women's Rugby season.

The 26-year-old German joins from top-flight French side Stade Bordelais having also played in her homeland and in New Zealand in the past.

Baltruweit spent five seasons with Wasps before the club folded and she moved to France, where she helped her new side win last season's French title.

"It's so good to have a player with Nora's experience join us at Chiefs," Exeter head coach Susie Appleby told the club website., external

"She's a powerful, smart player, and although she hasn't played in the Premiership for a couple of seasons, I think she will quickly find her feet and add huge value to the squad."
