Dragons and Wales prop Dillon Lewis is expected to be out of action for a number of months after tearing his calf.
Lewis, 29, picked up the injury after coming on as a replacement in the 19-19 draw with Ospreys last Saturday and is currently on crutches with his foot in a boot.
No exact date has been set for his return but Lewis is bracing himself for a long-term injury.
"I have had scans and it feels like it will be a while out at the moment," Lewis told the Scrum V Warm Up show.
"I have to see the specialist and we will see."
Former Cardiff prop Lewis joined Dragons from Harlequins for the start of the 2025-26 season.
Lewis won the last of his 57 caps in the 2024 Six Nations and was not included by new head coach Steve Tandy for this autumn, but said he still harbours international ambition.
"I've not retired yet. I'm desperate to get back in the Welsh squad and that was a big factor in coming home to play in Wales," he said.
"I'm as hungry as ever and hopefully after the injury, I can get some games under my belt and put my hand back up."
Scrum V The Warm Up will be live on BBC Two Wales on Thursday, 30 October at 19:00 GMT and will also be available on BBC iPlayer.
