Cornish Pirates have signed Ulster prop James French for the forthcoming Championship season.
The 25-year-old former Ireland Under-20 player came up through Munster's youth ranks and played twice for the club before moving to Ulster last season.
He played four times in the United Rugby Championship for Ulster last season.
"James has a great profile and although still a young man has been in some top-class environments," Pirates joint-head coach Alan Paver told the club website., external
"He is a player who has a chance to be a frontrunner week in and week out because of the growth still left in him and because of our experience in helping push on such gifted young players.
"We are very much looking forward to getting James in and to get him up and running.”
