Sale Sharks lock Hyron Andrews has agreed a new one-year contract to stay at the club for next season.

The South African joined Sale from Durban club Sharks towards the end of the 2023-24 campaign as injury cover for Jonny Hill and played in the Champions Cup quarter-final defeat by Toulouse.

Andrews, 29, impressed enough to earn a one-year deal for last season where he made 11 appearances.

"I was a little nervous about coming to Sale because it was the first time I'd played overseas, but from the first day I arrived, I've absolutely loved it," he told the club website, external.

"It's been so much fun but we know there's a lot of work to do as well, to make sure we take the next step and win the Premiership.

"We need to keep working on the things that make us such a good team, improve our away form and we can get there."
