Gloucester back row Harry Taylor has signed a contract extension with the Premiership club.

The 23-year-old has made 22 appearances for the Cherry and Whites since his debut in 2021.

Gloucester are third in the league, with Taylor appearing in four of their 11 matches this season.

"Coming through the academy ranks here at Kingsholm, it really does feel like home," he told the club's website., external

"We've got a good thing going here, and there are exciting times ahead, so it was a really easy decision in the end to sign a new deal.

"Wearing the Cherry and White and playing in front of the Kingsholm faithful is always a privilege, and I'm looking forward to continuing to do so in the future."

Gloucester travel to league leaders Bath on Sunday as the Premiership returns this weekend following the completion of the men's Six Nations.

"Harry's been brilliant, from very young I gave him the opportunity to captain the team a good few times now, he's a real leader among that young group we've grown up in the club," director of rugby George Skivington told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

"[He is a] Gloucester boy, grown up here, loves the club, trains hard. He's cut from the same cloth as Lewis Ludlow - throws his body about, sometimes even too much in training.

"I'm really glad he's chosen to stay, he's always driving standards here."
