Cornish Pirates have signed Exeter forward Martin Moloney on a short-term loan.

The 24-year-old Irishman moved to the Chiefs this season having spent the summer on trial at the Premiership club.

The former Leinster back-row comes in as injury cover and is set to make his Pirates debut against Coventry on Saturday.

He has made five substitute appearances for Exeter this season, featuring twice in the Premiership and three times in the Premiership Rugby Cup - including playing against the Pirates last month.
