Dragons have signed South African tighthead prop Robert Hunt, the region's 13th new recruit ahead of the new season.

Hunt, 28, started his career with Leopards and has also played for Bulls and Cheetahs in his native South Africa.

"Dragons are evidently working on something big to swing the momentum of the club around and that's something I eagerly want to part of," Hunt said,.

"I'm excited to get into pre-season with the boys, graft and build that excitement heading into next season."

Dragins head coach Filo Tiatia said "He's impressed since day one of pre-season, working hard along with the rest of the squad.

"I'm excited to now work with him as we continue to build towards a new campaign for Dragons."
