Second row Irne Herbst is to leave Harlequins at the end of the season to join French Pro D2 side CA Brive.

The 31-year-old has made 61 appearances for the club since he joined from Benetton in 2022.

The South African lock has started eight out of his 14 games for the club this season in all competitions.

He is the fourth player to announce their departure from the London club during the Premiership's eight-week break, with prop Dillon Lewis joining Dragons and centre Will Joseph signing for Gloucester next season, and forward Tom Osborne leaving for Perth Storm with immediate effect at the start of the month.
