Wales boss Richard Whiffin has made three starting changes to face France at the World Rugby U20 Championship in Rovigo, Italy, on Friday (14:30 BST).

Wing Tom Bowen goes from bench to starting XV, taking over from Aiden Boshoff as Wales seek to bounce back from their 34-27 opening defeat by Argentina in Pool B.

Harri Ford makes way for Harri Wilde at fly-half and Dan Gemine comes in at lock for Nick Thomas.

France beat Spain 49-11 to kick off their challenge on Sunday.

Whiffin said: "It's going to be a very tough game for everyone really, I think it is going to be 35 degrees by the time we get out on the field so it's going to be tough.

"It will be a battle of survival of the fittest really, and being smart around energy levels and how we manage the game and how we manage the substitutes are all going to be important."
