Fabian Holland, player of the match, speaking to TNT Sports: "It was a massive game for us. Credit to Ireland, they are a quality side and we are stoked to get the win. Credit to our boys, they were awesome".

On motivations from 2016: "Yeah, it was massive. We knew what that meant to Irish rugby and we just wanted to make a statement at the start of this tour. Hopefully we were able to do that. We talked all week about backing each other up and that's what we did."

New Zealand came into their own last 25 minutes and for Ireland, the sloppiness kicked in. The penalty count was high and the line-out needs work.

The scoreline I don't think reflects the match.

If you look over the course of the 80 minutes, Ireland didn't create a lot outside the try.

It felt New Zealand had their number.

To be fair, regardless of the winner nine years ago, the 2016 game will continue to live long in the memory.

    That one, however, will not.

It's so nearly worth the wait as New Zealand rip Ireland open with a flowing move and Leicester Fainga'anuku thinks he has scored a cracker, but there's a forward pass and that will be that.

The clock is in the red. New Zealand have it, but it's just for bants at this point.

I'm not saying Barrett knows the game is done, but he tries a weird banana kick from the penalty that goes straight instead of into touch, and Ireland have the scrum on halfway.

He's able to smile about it at least.

It was coming, pressure was mounting and to be fair New Zealand have upped the ante second half and forced Ireland into unforced errors and mistakes.

    Cam Roigard

    And that will be that!

The Irish defence were worried about the big men doing the damage but Cam Roigard slips his way over the line with some quick feet.

Barrett's conversion is wide, but the damage is already done.

Ireland have to go for it in their own 22 but Bundee Aki, Jamie Osborne and James Lowe make a bit of a mess of it and it's knocked on.

It's hard to see a way back for Ireland now.

The All Blacks are going for the kill but the maul is a bit of a mess and Ireland are awarded the scrum.

Time is slipping away for Ireland.

Will Jordan, in the city that was home to Michael Jordan at the Chicago Bulls, tries to throw a basketball pass out wide but he puts too much on it.

Play is brought back for a penalty and Barrett is going to pop the ball into the corner.

Really poor game management by Ireland after the Crowley missed penalty. Dispiriting.

Too many important positional changes from Ireland.
