Ireland have been decent without being exceptional. They've put together some nice passages, been pretty strong defensively, but a malfunctioning line-out has really hurt both sides.

Brousset is hot on the line-out throws tonight.

Codie Taylor is now pulled up by the French referee, who has been quite fussy so far.

Superb from Ryan Baird to steal the New Zealand throw, and O'Brien follows that up with some quick feet to scamper out of his own try area before he's brought down.

Good things come in threes, and Gibson-Park's clearance from the back of the scrum is top notch and play is brought up to halfway.

Tommy O'Brien is pinged now for holding onto the ball just inside the Irish half.

Barrett sticks it right into the corner. That's a class kick, to be fair.

Totally disagree with the red card - what’s now to stop any player receiving the ball to run head on into an opposing player giving no time for him to react and get him sent off? Very bad decision in my view!

    Tim, Oxford

Absurd red card. When the pass is made so flat to the line, there was no time for Beirne to dip.

    Milt, Coventry

Ridiculous. Forget the slow-mo, watch it in real time. Who is seriously going to open their arms and take one in the face? He had half a second to react. For me it's completely spoilt the game. I've turned it off.

The All Blacks needed to respond and they certainly have.

Jack Crowley sends a tester up wide and Garry Ringrose's pressure brings the ball back on the Irish side.

Ireland try kicking it through again but it's charged down, and Stuart McCloskey does really well to win the penalty.

Exactly the reaction they needed to get back into the game.

Ireland had not done a huge amount but built that lead. Now they're right back in it.
