  1. The Ulsterman who won first Irish cap in his 80spublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 13 November

    Ireland v Argentina (Fri)

There's only one Ulster player in Andy Farrell's matchday squad this week with Rob Herring amongst the replacements again but here's a story for you of one Ulsterman who won his first cap in this 80s - and he was a hooker too.

John Birch was part of the Ireland team that toured Argentina back in 1970 - a time when the Irish Rugby Football Union did not recognise games against the Pumas as official Tests.

But last year, they retrospectively awarded caps to players from that tour - and Jonathan Bradley caught up with John Birch, who is now 82.

After their convincing 50-18 victory over Italy in Rome, Argentina coach Felipe Contepomi has made three changes to his starting XV.

Vice-captain Pablo Matera returns to the back row after suspension as he takes over from Santiago Grondona, who drops to the replacements.

Guido Petti replaces Franco Molina at lock while there is one backs change as Matias Moroni comes in for Matias Orlando.

Fit-again fly-half Santiago Carreras is named on the bench after missing the game in Udine because of a calf injury.

Argentina: Juan Cruz Mallia; Rodrigo Isgro, Lucio Cinti, Matias Moroni, Bautista Delguy; Tomas Albornoz, Gonzalo Bertranou; Thomas Gallo, Julian Montoya (capt), Joel Sclavi; Guido Petti, Pedro Rubiolo; Pablo Matera, Juan Martin Gonzalez, Joaquin Oviedo
