There are five Cardiff players in the Wales 23 and they will be pleased to hear how their team-mates got on without them before kick-off.

The Blue and Blacks continued their impressive start to the URC with a 29-14 win against Zebre in Parma.

Hooker Daf Hughes scored a hat-trick from driving line-outs in the first half and then flanker Taine Basham went over at the death to earn a bonus point.

Cardiff are top of the table, although they will be knocked down by either Munster or Stormers this evening.

Fair play to South Africa, everything has been perfect.

They make everything look really easy and Wales are struggling.

That's the end of the first half which has been frankly one-way traffic.

Wales have barely touched the ball and when they have, they have either kicked it away or missed the lineout.

South Africa in total control after four tries.

Dan Edwards is quick-thinking enough to spot the overlap on the far side and kicks across field.

Ellis Mee tries to keep the ball in play on the volley but goes into touch - with clear grass in front of him. He would have been clear then.

South Africa back on the attack and just marching their way up field.

It really has been one-way traffic this half.

Joe Hawkins and Rio Dyer combine to stop Damian Willemse in his tracks on the right and Wales win a penalty.

They're humongous, they take up half the scrum's weight.

This isn't an over exaggeration, they're bigger than my wife.

Wales win another free kick at the scrum on the halfway line for a technical infringement and Dan Edwards pumps it up field.

First real chance for Wales to set up camp - but Dewi Lake overthrows the lineout ten yards out from the try line and huge groans all around the Principality Stadium. So disappointing.

Lake is a wonderful leader and effective ball-carrier but the lineout has been Wales' Achilles heel this month.

To be fair Ian, I think most teams are pretty much dwarfed by these South Africans!

However Wales do have a very young team today.

Wales back line looks like boys against the men of South Africa.

Siya Kolisi goes within inches of the try line before Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu's pass out wide to Ethan Hooker is ruled forward.

Wales escape for now but there's a penalty for Joe Hawkins offside and South Africa will undoubtedly pick the scrum.

Aaron Wainwright barely packs down before breaking from the back of the scrum.

Wales know that ball has to be in and out in a split-second if they are to negate that Springbok scrum power.

Wales defend the driving lineout superbly to snuff out the attack.

However the result of that is a scrum five metres from their own line.

Against this South African pack, I'm not sure that's a reward.

Feinberg-Mngomezulu gives another display of his skills, catching a pass one-handed before flinging a reverse pass out wide. He's buzzing today.

Action is brought back for another scrum penalty and the fly-half sends the Boks to within sniffing distance of the Wales try line. Ominous.

Dan Edwards probes with a speculative chip over the top but Damian Willemse is well positioned to clean up and is then taken high by opposite number Blair Murray.

It's a penalty for South Africa to clear - but nothing more.

Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu just gives another display of his wonderful skills, gliding between Aaron Wainwright and Gareth Thomas to send South Africa scorching through.

Siya Kolisi is dragged down by Blair Murray but this Springboks fly-half is just a joy to watch.
