Is that the first pay-out from Steve Borthwick's pre-game mindgames?

England were reportedly unhappy with some of Australia's breakdown work and highlighted their concerns to referee Nika Amashukeli in the days before kick-off.

Now, back-to-back infringements from Billy Pollard and Taniela Tupou have sent Australia from five metres out from England's line to back to their own.

    England 0-0 Australia

A kick is sent out to Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, Andrew Kellaway does well to get a hand in and prevent it going into Feyi-Waboso's hands.

All he had to do was catch it and it was a try.

Immanuel Feyi-Waboso does well to tidy up a kick through, England then win a penalty. Australia look sharp so far but nothing else to report.

It looked harsh on Billy Pollard, who was over the ball.

A couple of areas that are surely going to be key are given a dry run in the teams' warm-ups.

Australia, who have a heavyweight pair of props in Taniela Tupou (23st 4lbs) and Angus Bell (19st 9lbs) opposite England's less experienced pairing of Fin Baxter and Joe Heyes pack down for a couple of full 16-man scrums.

England meanwhile start each small-sided mini game with a ball tossed in the air and an aerial contest. With Freddie Steward, Tom Roebuck and Immanuel Feyi-Waboso in the back three and Tommy Freeman in the centres, England will hope to rule the skies.

Former England wing on BBC's Rugby Union Weekly

I can't see why England can't win all four games. New Zealand are in a bit of a funny spot.

I'm not really understanding how they want to play and win games. They don't have that invincibility anymore.

England head coach Steve Borthwick, speaking to the media: "We are delighted to be back, it feels quite a time since the full England squad played together against our fans."

On Tommy Freeman playing at outside centre: "Tommy is a great player and him playing in the centre is something we have been working on for a long time, it has worked really well.

"I think we have a good bench and it can come on and win the game."
