British pair Hannah Mills and Saskia Clark have won silver at the 470 European Championships in Greece.

The duo held off the challenge of New Zealand's Olympic champions Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie to finish second behind Austria's Lara Vadlau and Jolanta Ogar.

Mills and Clark had been off the water for three months prior to the regatta as both recovered from injuries.

"We're really happy with how we raced," Mills said. "To come away with a medal is more than we expected."

Compatriots Eilidh McIntyre and Sophie Weguelin finished sixth overall.
