Mowi Premiership champions Kingussie won 3-1 to continue their 100% start to the campaign and inflict Lovat's first defeat.
Newtonmore secured their maiden win of the season at the third attempt with a 3-2 defeat of Caberfeidh at Strathpeffer. Skye had a fine 1-0 home win over Oban Camanachd and Lochaber overwhelmed Glenurquhart 5-0 at Spean Bridge. Kyles and visitors Kinlochshiel drew 1-1.
At the Dell, it was first blood to Lovat when Greg Matheson scored early but Savio Genini equalised deep into first-half stoppage time. Ruaridh Anderson and Dylan Borthwick then went on to win the game for the home side.
Struan Ross, Cameron McNiven and Steven MacDonald appeared to have Newtonmore out of sight within half-an-hour. However, Craig Morrison and Liam Symonds made a game of it in the final quarter.
Dan MacDonald grabbed Skye's vital breakthrough on half-time against an Oban Camanachd side that finished the game with 11 men.
Pat Toal's opener and two each from Ben Delaney and Stuart Callison gave Lochaber the points in one-way traffic.
At Tighnabruich, Luke Thornton equalised for Kyles in the final minute to cancel out John MacRae's early opener.
After three games, Kingussie top the table by two points from Lovat with Glenurquhart the only side still to make a mark.
In the National Division, Beauly prevailed 3-1 at Inveraray, a Sam Bulloch double helped Col Glen to a 4-2 home win over Kilmallie and there were 2-1 home successes for Fort William against Glasgow Mid Argyll and Oban Celtic over Bute.
