Antrim's Mark Allen beaten by Peter Lines in Wuxi Classic

Mark Allen suffered a surprise 5-4 defeat by Peter Lines in the first round of the Wuxi Classic in China.

The world number six from Antrim trailed his Leeds opponent 3-2 and 4-3 in the season's opening ranking event.

However, Allen took a long eighth frame by potting the yellow and green at separate visits to set up a decider.

Allen trailed 58-9 as his comeback stalled, with Lines eventually getting over the line after cueing across his first attempt at frame ball.
