UK Snooker Championship 2013: Day one round-up

Taxi driver Gary Wilson beat Jamie Jones 6-0 as the UK Championship got under way at York's Barbican Centre.
Welshman Jones, 25, reached the quarter-finals of the 2012 World Championship but was easily brushed aside by the world number 91.
"I've had a few good results but that's probably the best I've played this season," said Wilson, from Wallsend.
Anthony Hamilton made the tournament's first century break in going 4-0 up but lost 6-4 to teenager Sean O'Sullivan.
Meanwhile, Australian Vinnie Calabrese beat Wales's Dominic Dale 6-5 and Tom Ford lost 6-2 to Thailand's world number 110 Noppon Saengkham in the other game of the afternoon session.
The evening session saw world number 95 Jamie O'Neill bridge a 57-place ranking gap to beat Mark Joyce 6-2 with breaks of 66, 110, 85 and 89.
China's Xiao Guodong recorded a 6-1 win over Wales's Andrew Pagett while Mark King beat Ross Muir of Scotland by the same score. Ireland's Fergal O'Brien beat Alex Davies 6-2.
