China Open: John Higgins, Mark Selby and Ding Junhui into last 16

John Higgins was runner-up in the China Open in 2006 and 2009
John Higgins moved into the last 16 of the China Open with a solid win over fellow Scot Graeme Dott in Beijing.
Current world champion and world number one Mark Selby also eased through his second-round match with a 5-0 victory over Elliot Slessor of England.
Higgins' 5-2 win set up a meeting with Judd Trump, who beat Peter Ebdon 5-1.
China's Ding Junhui, defending his title, was similarly untroubled in moving past Mark Davis 5-1 and will now face Mark Williams.
