Plymouth Devils co-promoter Seemond Stephens is confident his side can overcome Rye House Rockets in their first competitive match of the season.

Stephens is part of the consortium that took over the club and saved it from closure in the winter.

"Rye House will not be a walkover but I believe we are capable of beating them," he said.

"We want to treat our fans to another home win following last week's success against Somerset."

Plymouth are at full strength for the League Cup match, while the Rockets are missing former Devil Jason Bunyan and Simon Lambert who were both injured in Monday's match with Ipswich.
