Toby Roberts seals historic Olympic sport climbing place

Toby Roberts became the first British male climber to earn an Olympic quota place by winning the European qualification event in Laval, France.
The 18-year-old triumphed with 169.8 points, external across the boulder and lead phases to finish well ahead of Spain's Alberto Gines Lopez on 133.7.
Roberts has also won World Cup gold in lead and boulder in his first senior season.
Shauna Coxsey became the first British Olympic climber at the Tokyo Games.
She was 10th in the women's competition when the sport made its Olympic debut in Tokyo in 2021.
France's Oriane Bertone won the women's European qualifier ahead of Serbia's Stasa Gejo.
