Four sport climbers will make their Olympic debut for Great Britain this summer after being selected for Paris 2024.

Toby Roberts and Hamish McArthur are set to become GB’s first male climbers at the Olympics, while Erin McNeice and Molly Thompson-Smith complete the GB squad.

Shauna Coxsey was GB's sole representative in the Games’ inaugural sport climbing event at Tokyo 2020 but retired after the event.

Last year Roberts, 19, became the first British climber to win a World Cup in two different disciplines - lead and boulder.

McArthur, 23, is a double youth world champion and earned a bronze medal at his first senior World Championship in Moscow three years ago.

McNeice, 20, and Thompson-Smith, 26, both secured qualification for Paris 2024 at last month's Olympic Qualifier Series, with McNeice collecting two bronze medals at the events in Shanghai and Budapest.

There are four medal events at Paris across two disciplines - speed and combined (boulder and lead) - with each discipline having a separate competition for male and female climbers.

The GB quartet will compete in the combined category, with the sport climbing events being held from 5-10 August.
