Wales' Tesni Murphy and Joel Makin took the spoils at the British National Championships with wins in successive finals.

Murphy (nee Evans) reclaimed the title she won in 2018 and 2019 by beating England's Torrie Malik 3-1 in the women's final at St George's Hill Lawn Tennis Club, Weybridge

The world-ranked 21st Murphy dropped one set in the 11-0, 11-5, 7-11, 11-9 triumph, completed in 45 minutes.

It was a second successive title - and also a third national men's crown - for world number four Makin, who needed 43 minutes to beat fifth seed Nick Wall 11-4, 12-10, 11-3.
