Fran Halsall finished fifth in the 100m freestyle as Britain failed to win any medals on day two of the European Short-Course Championships in Denmark.
Halsall, 23, led into the final length of the race but faded, with Holland's Ranomi Kromowidjojo taking gold.
Britain's Jazz Carlin, 23 set a new Welsh record to take fourth in the 800m freestyle, with Hannah Miley, 24, finishing seventh.
Michael Jamieson, 25, was sixth in the 100m breaststroke.
Chris Walker-Hebborn, 23, was sixth in the 50m backstroke and Siobhan-Marie O'Connor, 18, who won a silver medal on the opening day, reached the 100m individual medley final.
Sophie Allen, 21, was eighth in the 200m breaststroke but all eyes were on 21-year-old Russian Yuliya Efimova, who set a new world record as she took gold.
Efimova clocked two minutes 14.39 seconds to better the record set by Rebecca Soni in 2009 by 0.18secs.
