Anne Keothavong beats Domachowska to win Barnstaple title

Britain's Anne Keothavong continued her superb end to the season by demolishing Poland's Marta Domachowska to win the Aegon GB Pro-Series Barnstaple.

The British number three, ranked 91 in the world, won 6-1 6-3 to secure her 14th victory in 17 matches and first singles title since November 2008.

The 28-year-old also won the doubles with Czech partner Eva Birnerova.

"It's been a great week for me, had some great support and really happy to get the double," she said on Twitter.

"Got long drive back to London and then an early flight first thing tomorrow morning to my last tournament in Germany. One last push before I can put my feet up for a bit!"

Meanwhile, British number one Elena Baltacha will take on 41-year-old Japanese player Kimiko Date-Krumm in the final of the ITF $100,000 event in Poitiers on Sunday.

Baltacha could achieve a career-high ranking and return to the world's top 50 if she wins.

The Scot, currently ranked 58, saved four set points before beating Irena Pavlovic 7-6 (10-8) 6-1 in Saturday's semi-finals in France.

"I was lucky to stay in the first set to be honest," said Baltacha. "She was always pushing me to the limit on pretty much every point.

"I saved those set-points in the tie-breaker and then the breakthrough came when she served a double fault at 8-8. I was pretty relieved.

"Some of the tennis was unbelievable in the second set. She was still playing really well and her level only dropped at the very end. Mentally I had to be really solid.

"Date-Krumm will try and make life uncomfortable for me and she's certainly a much better player than her ranking. I'm very pumped for this match though.

"It's my last match of the season and I just want to go out and give it absolutely everything I have."
