Amelie Mauresmo undecided on Andy Murray Wimbledon role

Mauresmo never made it past the quarter-finals of her home Grand Slam in 15 attempts

Amelie Mauresmo is yet to decide whether she will be able to coach British number one Andy Murray at Wimbledon next month.

The 35-year-old Frenchwoman is expecting her first child in August, and told BBC Sport that she will assess how she feels after the French Open.

Murray, 28, has brought Jonas Bjorkman into his coaching team for the summer.

The world number three faces Argentine qualifier Facundo Arguello in the first round in Paris on Monday.

"I'm feeling great," said Mauresmo. "OK, I can't really run around the place that much but other than that it is going really well.

"What we agreed on is that a week after the French Open I will assess medically how I feel and then we'll decide whether or not I'll meet the team in Wimbledon."

Swedish former world number four Bjorkman, 43, will stay with Murray until at least the end of the hard court stretch with the US Open in September.

French Fed Cup captain Mauresmo has led Murray's coaching team since her appointment last June and works with the Scot for 25 weeks a year.

Murray has said he was "amazed" by the level of criticism aimed at Mauresmo's appointment, which made him the first leading male player to employ a female coach.
