Defending champion Novak Djokovic eased into round four of the Australian Open by beating Yoshihito Nishioka, while Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas was knocked out by Canadian Milos Raonic.
Djokovic breezed through 6-3 6-2 6-2 in only 85 minutes.
Sixth seed Tsitsipas could not find a way past Raonic in their match-up as the 21-year-old lost in straight sets 7-5 6-4 7-6 (7-2).
Elsewhere, Marin Cilic upset ninth seed Roberto Baustista Agut.
Cilic lost the opening set before bouncing back to win the next two. Bautista Agut took the fourth but eventually fell 6-7 (3-7) 6-4 6-0 5-7 6-3.
Djokovic, this year's second seed, was ruthless and efficient with his serving, breaking Nishioka five times from six opportunities.
"This was one of my best serving matches," said the Serb.
Djokovic, 32, will play Diego Schwartzman after the Argentine 14th seed beat Dusan Lajovic 6-2 6-3 7-6 (9-7).
The former world number one lost only one point on his own serve in the opening two sets against 24-year-old Nishioka, and he won 93% of points on his first serve.
Raonic, 29, served his way to victory against Tsitsipas - firing 19 aces and winning 88% of his first-serve points. The 32nd seed never faced a break point en route to victory.
"Today was an incredible match for me," Raonic said. "I was very happy with how things went. I enjoy the energy of playing on this court and it's great to be healthy and playing well. I can take a lot of pleasure in this win."
Elsewhere, Italian 12th seed Fabio Fognini beat Guido Pella 7-6 (7-0) 6-2 6-3 and will meet America's Tennys Sandgren in the fourth round.
Sandgren beat fellow American Sam Querrey 6-4 6-4 6-4.
