Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime beat Greek world number four Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets to win his first ATP title at the Rotterdam Open.

Auger-Aliassime broke Tsitsipas in the first game and went on to record a comfortable 6-4 6-2 win in 78 minutes.

The world number nine had already defeated Britain's Cameron Norrie and Andy Murray on the way to the final.

"It is the happiest day of my career and hopefully it is the first of many to come," said Auger-Aliassime.

The 21-year-old had lost in each of his eight previous finals without taking a set.

However, he has been in good form in 2022 and helped Canada to the ATP Cup title in January, before he reached the quarter-finals at the Australian Open.

In Russia, Estonia's Anett Kontaveit beat Greek top seed Maria Sakkari 5-7 7-6 (7-4) 7-5 in the St Petersburg Open final.

World number nine Kontaveit now has six career titles, with five of them coming in the past seven months, and is only the sixth woman since 1990 to win 20 straight indoor matches.

A day after winning the longest tie-break in ATP Tour history, Reilly Opelka beat fellow American Jenson Brooksby 7-6 (7-5) 7-6 (7-3) to win the Dallas Open.

On Saturday, the world number 23 had triumphed in a 46-point tie-break to beat John Isner and reach the final.

Opelka, 24, faced only one break point in the tournament as he won his third ATP title.

Norway's Casper Ruud won his seventh career title when he beat second seed Diego Schwartzman of Argentina 5-7 6-2 6-3 in the Argentina Open final.
